Dear Mr. President:

 

I have learned with deep distress and profound sorrow of the terrorist attacks which struck New York and Washington, D.C., causing great loss of life, injuries, and immense damage to property.

 

On behalf of the people of Thailand, the Queen and I would like to extend to you, and through you, to the American people, in particular members of the bereaved families, our deepest sympathies and sincere condolences for their irreparable loss and the immeasurable suffering caused by these tragic incidents.
